What odds to you think you would get from the bookies on him getting more bodily injury than a suntan. It's just a palace publicity stunt. What do you think ?

According to the BBC & MoD Prince Henry is being sent to a base in Basra. I have no reason to doubt this as Prince Andrew served in the Balklands War. No favoritism was shown then, why do you think it would be now?

Hello,
I wouldn't worry a jot over the lad, he will be better protected than most out in Iraq, if he even sees any action. and he won't be out there as long as my neighbours son, who we Buried in our Town of Warringtron Cheshire 2 weeks ago, his wife and month old daughter are very upset, and I cannot know or understand why this stupid battle is taking place, it cannot be over Oil surely, doesn't America have enough production of its own, to keep its big cars on the road for another thousand years or so, they will be still driving their big fancy automobiles when we are all on the backs of donkeys again. odds from the bookies that the lad will be back at his royal Mommy's house within 3 months might be worth nothing to you, but I would bet, that his loss to the country would carry the greatest odds of all time, I am not even going to consider having a bet on the royal lad at all, I hope I have touched on the reply you were after...... Even though the monarchy exudes little executive power these days, the royal family is still an integral part of British society and culture. If he were to go, since he is recognized all over the world, he would put himself, and his unit, in peril. What crazed insurgent wouldn't want to capture and behead a prince of England? That would be a bloody nightmare.

I think he would get better odds than all of the layabouts in this country who are sucking it dry and whinge about how bad off they are.
I don't think it is a stunt, he is a professional soldier doing his duty for his country.
It says a lot for Britain that people support a corrupt prime minister and Government and derides a young man trying to protect the underdog.
Shame on you

Yep, in a way it is a publicity stunt. It's certainly done with intent. He's just following in his father's footsteps. It's irresponsible because it gives an approval to the war. If he had guts he'd be speaking out against the war. He's taking the easy way out.

It's also stupid as it gives a prime target for anyone over there already intending to kill Brits.

Poor old prince Harry, can do no right.I'm quite concerned that he may be badly wounded so I propose that a national collection be arranged to purchase bespoke body armour for the fellow.
I'm sure that he won't be given any special treatment, and will just be 'one of the lads' making do to save a few bob.
His dad is pretty good at milking the charity laws, so perhaps he would front it?

That boy ain't going to no d@mn war. Hahahahahaha! Laughable on its face. He'll be in the military but not where it counts: on the grounds in the midst of the fire & hell of combat.
He'll be an officer looking from afar.
How do you think a protected pampered spoiled rich boy who never REALLY had to answer to anybody could be able to take orders from some so-called "commoner"?

Old men start the wars, young men fight 'em.
Rich folks start the wars, poor folks fight 'em.

That is how it has been and that is ALWAYS how it will be.
Once the young men & poor folks at large figure that out, there'll be hope.

I think you may be right because all I've seen on here is these Brits putting the US down for being in a war over there but yet it's ok for them to send someone from Royal Family over there whats wrong with that picture?

I thought I was the only one who could see that but I guess not.

I think that, in all seriousness, he joined up to fight for his country & to be just a regular guy. If he is sent to Iraq he will not want any special treatment. I think we should give the guy a break. It can't be easy being 2nd in line to the throne & knowing you were only born as a spare in case anything happened to the heir.

I think the odds would be low. He is in a famous Marine regiment who will want to see action. Since he is an officer and a Prince to prove himself as a Marine office and future King. They will try to do everything they can to protect him but he will follow orders/.
