All heart breaking, I teared. I imagine the silence that greets you when you climb into an empty bed after the death of your beloved of many years is soul destroying.
Personally, the saddest sound I have ever heard is the crying at a funeral. It broke my heart.

the sound of hungry empty stomach of children especially those in the third world country. No matter how difficult life is, there is no way, anyone should be starving to death.

The saddest sound I have ever heard is the sound of so many questions that have not and will not be answered, also the sound of starving children crying, and the sound of chainsaws in a forrest, and the sound of questions, questioning our fate and how we got here, the sound of no one believing..
