Our friends in Congress continue to display the rich diversity of patriotism. Their actions demonstrate to all Americans that you, in fact, can support the troops while opposing the war, as long as you’re not too specific about whose troops you support.

Yes, if we want to continue to live in a free environment. Maybe you would rather live like the people in Iraq or some of the other countries do where you cannot ask a question like this without the fear of getting killed and/or tortured, where you cannot go where you want when you want, read what you want, etc. A better question would be, "Should we continue to support and fund all the lazy asses that work the Welfare sytem and teach their kids to do it also?.

Hell yes we should support are troops, and every single one of'em.They put their lives on the line for everyone of us,and I dont give a **** what those dumbmother f*ckers in Washington say, most of them havent even served, but they consider themselves experts on all military issues.
And another thing, how many congressmen family members are in the military?Something like 3 or 4 members out of 535.they gripe and moan how they know what so many people in the america feel when their family members are KIA or WIA and that they will do everything they can to help them, but its a bunch of crap, all they care about is supporting their big buisnnesses and not caring about the blue collar american worker like their supposed to and promised to.

The troops are fighting in Iraq because that is their job. These brave men and women chose to serve our nation being in its armed forces, they really don't have much of a choice about where the government decides to send them.
If you support the troops, you have to continue to fund them to help keep them safe and let them do their job. You don't have to agree with the war to agree that our troops need food, equipment, ammunition, and other supplies to keep them alive overseas. Saying I support the troops and we should cut funding is like saying I support the local school but not the policies of the school board so I won't pay extra taxes to help fund it.

Who says that if we don't fund this stupid war that we don't support our troops? You? The Nitwit in the White House?
What could be more in support of our troops than getting the home from this shooting gallery safely?
edit...edit...we already have sent them over there without adequate equipment....but, as Rummy said, ' you go with the army you got, not the one you wish you had ' ...some support...

I do believe that we should support our troops. The operative word is "our." They are fighting for our country's freedom. that may sound redundant being that America is the land of the free but if we did not have our troops to bolster us we would not remain free. The troops are not to blame the initiator is to blame the troops are doing what they believe is right. Like a child to a piece of candy.

each guy and lady interior the US military volunteered. military ability military. each and each knew that while they volunteered. they're at minimum severe college grads. the US shape supplies for an armed military, and the US President is Commander in chief of the army. Congress authorized the conflict on Terror. Former President Clinton himself signed the Iraq Liberation Act in 1998. lots of our VOLUNTEER military women and adult men persons are the two in place in a conflict ecosystem or in help at different military bases. it relatively is what they signed up for, experienced for, get their paychecks for. Why would any American question no count number if or no longer they be funded, no longer to show supported, incredibly for the duration of wartime? what's incorrect with this image?

Support Troops ---Yes
Funding-------------NO
Many millions of dollars have found their way into hands of thieves in the country of Iraq in the disguise of "rebuilding" programs or "security" programs.
In fact I would not be surprised to hear that some of the money that is coming out of our pockets in tax money finds their way into the hands of the enemy.
No More Funding
Bring the Troops Home...Support the Troops

Our Congressional representatives wasted our dollars by debating and voting on a pointless resolution. It did NOTHING!
If they want the troops home, do something and cut the spending. If they want to support the troops, then fund them and do not undermine them.

Why is it that money needed for WWII was never an issue with the public?? Perhaps back then our country had the will to win at any cost instead of holding back for better things. What is better than the honor or your country and the defense of it's values. Seems to me liberals are forgetting reality and responsibility in favor of looking good at the podium. The podium days are over they are elected to do things for the country not tear it apart. Getting rid of bad leaders does is supposed to be the issue not taking funds away. Murtha has lost his mind and Pelosi seems to be trying hard to be president instead of doing the job she was elected to do.

Supporting the troops and not supporting their mission is like supporting firefighters but don't want them to put out fires.
This resolution will haunt this nation.
Those who are all for it when the come here and hit us again are you going to say we were wrong.
