You're paying more for the Sony name. People just assume that the Sony PSP requires the Sony memory stick. But in reality, Sony and Sandisk co-developed the memory stick together, so there's no difference between the Sony one and the Sandisk one.

There's no difference between the Sony and the Sandisk (except the name, of course) because Sony and Sandisk developed the technology together. So, you might as well get the Sandisk.

Well, it's just the brand. there is no difference in the memory. Like for example, a Nintendo memory card costs more than a difeerent brand of memory card with more blocks of space. And also the Sony camera memory card costs more than a scandisk memory card. Just buy the scandisk memory card. More worth your money.

well sony has been known for quality for a long time , so that's why u would notice a higher price tag when comparing it with similar products.
but recently Sony's been in a lot of trouble due to its problem with overheating notebook batteries. which has lowered their well known trust level over the past years.
