Hi, i've been very ill the past weel and a half, and i haven't been able to eat anything since Sunday, everything tastes disgusting and i find it difficult to swallow. I went to the doctors yesterday and she said i had a chest infection, but i havent bin coughing that much really. She prescribed me antibiotics. Today i'm extremely dizzy and my fingers feel tingly with pins and needles, and i still cant eat, i'm starting to get worried. Is this normal and how much longer without food can i go without starting to cause a problem? if anyone can help or just reassure me i'd be very grateful, thanks x

It could the aftermath of your illness. You don’t have to get worried about it. It could be because there is not enough blood circulation due to perhaps disuse atrophy or perhaps due to the fact that part of your body was at rest for two or three hours. You can find good home remedies for this. I did find some at http://ailments.in/peripheralneuropathy.html

TAKE VITAMIN B12. a deficiency in B12 will lead to numbness in the extremities and is usually given to vegetarians. Because you haven't been eating lately this might be why you would be deficient. Not taking this seriously could lead to long term health effects. it is important that you supplement this in your diet.

I think it'd be best to call your doctor immediately and tell her about the symptoms. You might be having a reaction to the medicine, and she can probably give you something else. good luck, I hope you feel better soon.

Anti-biotics take a couple of days to work but if you still feel bad after three days go back to your M.O.
