Is he trying to steal key issues away from the dems, so the republicans will have it too? Is this another part of their fascist agenda to steal all votes?

YOUR PRESIDENT SAID HEALTHCARE NEEDS FIXED

Affordable accessible healthcare is more the problem. So far as I know, all 50 US States have a blanket of healthcare, including indigent. We have hospitals overburdened now with illegals, invaders, who do not pay for services nor do they pay taxes to support the system. We have a legal system that's allowing oversized claims against medical practice. We have hospitals billing for gold plated bandaids. We have pharmaceutical companies charging Americans more for meds than any other population on the planet, forcing Americans to subsidize the world's meds.

Yes there are some things that can be, and need to be, fixed.

Issues belong to all people, not political parties. Parties offer their fix. George Bush ran the first time with the promise that he would get drug benefits with those on Medicare. For decades the Democrats had made promises and never followed through. You may hate Bush, but he made sure that old folks can get medicines without a struggle. It was an important action.

I knew a number of older people, especially women, who could not afford to buy needed medicines. It seemed entirely unfair that some people who could work into their 70's and not be able to get medicines.

He's posturing for his party for 2008. He is going to propose things like universal heathcare but put up ideas that don't solve anything and cause more problems then he can solve. Then, Republicans can blame democrats for blocking the President's initiatives on issues that the Democrats should be strong in.

It's the most cynical form of politics there is.

It is not a matter of who came up with the idea. It is about time he started listening to us. I don't care who came up with the idea because it is about time that someone started giving it some serious thought. Americans need the ability to get good health care at a reasonable price. I'm not talking about socialized medicine. I would like to see fair prices so that all Americans can be taken care of rather than sending aid to people so that they will stop making bombs, etc. I see that all the aid we sent North Korea stopped their plans of a nuclear capable missile. They know that all they have to do is rattle their sword and we will cough up more aid to them. It is time to care for our own first and the rest of the world second.

And why would he need to steal it, he isn't running for president. I suppose since Hillory has been talking about a health care plan now for 14 yrs and still hasn't been able to get one out there he figures someone has to do it. Steal votes, look who you have running?!

Where but in the old good USA can so many people not be covered . bush was pressured to do so I do not think he would have done it on his own, but with what he did the economy he had to fix some thing health care Canada had it he had to do it. And every one should be covered no matter what it would be cheaper for us in the long run

Of course. We've needed to address the healthcare issue or a long long time. He's had 6 years to take care of it and hasn't even lifted a finger to do so until libs mention it. He's such a tool.

The biggest question is how to fund health care. Conservative want market forces to keep cost reasonable. Liberals think the government should do everything even though the government hasn't done anything to merit such trust.
