Usually no. It is stored at the web site. Technically anything that you type in the screen can be saved in a cookie but a legitimate company won't do it for security reasons.
Most of the time a cookie only stores your id so you can be automatically logged back in. The password is optionally stored in another encrypted area of the computer. Cookies are not encrypted.

This depends on the website you are visiting. For webdevelopers it is a BIG no-no to do that because of something called cross site scripting and other techniquies which can allow other bad websites to read your cookies and therefore your credit card info if the sites were desinged that way.
Therefore any site that had a deveoper with half a brain wouldn't do that. There is probably a few out there but it is very unlikely. I personaly would NOT worry about this in the slightest.

That's pretty amazing: this question was asked 3 minutes ago and already had like 15 answers...
Anyway, a cookie can store this information if the web "master" decides that's what he wants to do. It's foolish and stupid to do this, but there are foolish and stupid web masters, as well.
Usually, cookies store simple information that allows the web site to know who you are (which also should be encrypted on the hard drive, but that's up to the coder to decide), and your preferences. That's their purpose.

I believe so only bcuz a lot of sites let you know it's a secure site n what to look for when it comes to a fake site that takes your info. Some people also have a block so that second and third parties can't get your info.

no. at most they will store the last 4 numbers of the card but never the whole thing - that would be a huge security risk.

They could, but that'd be a very foolish place to store them.
