I'm trying to troubleshoot/setup a friend's computer (a new Vista running laptop) from across the country. She's trying to use Outlook 2007 and has a Yahoo! Small Business account. If we use the same settings, me on XP using Outlook Express and her using Outlook 2007, I can send and receive email to/from her account. She, on the other hand, can only receive email. Her outgoing email is stuck in her outbox. A very brief error message flashes, but she can't read it.

I'd head over there and set it up myself if I could, but I'm too far away... Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Thanks

OK, found this elsewhere and it worked for me:

Go to programs, accessories then right click command line and select run as administrator.

At the prompt type

netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disable

and this has fixed my Firefox problem and the POP3 through outlook and Vista
