Major challenge is the right word. The area is a giant hole where money in form of aid and all sorts of help from the outside world go into yet nothing substantial seems to come out of it..
Money comes,aid comes, and it goes Poof.Gone. Why? Is everybody doing it all wrong? How many years have aid been poured into the region.
We have to look into the in-fighting. As soon as a semblance of prosperity comes in one area, here comes the marauders. What can be done?
There has been inroads to teaching values, and religion and molding their minds to the concept of work, and planning for a future. After all the years, many people have lost track of the future.
So my answer is;
1. Help manage the infighting
2. Continue with teaching the children, and adults who come to the aid areas.
3. Continue with the aid of course.
4. Help them renew their faith that they have a future. That will be the biggest challenge of all,winning back for them the hearts they have lost a long time ago.
