i'm using explorer version 6 some sites used to open without any problems are not opening at all now. I tried erasing cookies, temp. folder, restarting my router, cleaning my windows and i formatted the computer 2 days ago i still have the problem till now. any more clues?????

it gives my page cannot displayed and non of the answers worked for me. i installed forex it gave me the same thing and on other computers its the same too.

Please be more specific when you say "not opening", just saying not opening is not clear enough for what the behavior is. It could be that the websites were taken down, try connecing from another computer at a different location.

Erasing cookies is probably what is preventing these web sites from opening now.
Many sites will not allow access unless you allow cookies. It is up to you whether or not you want to do this.
In Tools, Internet Options, Privacy, I have the slider set to Medium. That's as far as I want to go.
Your choice.

try useing firefox. it is alot faster and better than IE6 or any IE browser versions. if you can open with firefox, then the problem is with IE6
