well i'm a die hard steeler fan,and i think we will get back to the playoffs.but i to am concerned about the coaching changes,we have to give coach tomlin a chance though.as for big ben,it was not all of his fault on his some what poor play he had help with dropped balls poor offensive line blocking.i think our secondary needs help big time, they gave up some big play's down field.we could also get another big back for short yardage situations...we need another bus! go steelers!!!

The new coach apparently interviews well. That does not mean he is a great or even good coach. He has played a differant system in the past, so I would look for the Steelers to struggle early in the season and maybe go 8-8. Except for the Browns, they are in a strong division and they need more than a comeback by the QB to fare better than last year. They need help in several areas, especially offensive line.

I predict the Steelers going 9-7. Ben didn't have the power running game to fall back on in 2006 and therefore couldn't fully rely on the short passing game either. I don't think he was in 100% shape after the accident but I believe he will be better this year.

I think we will bounce back strong in 2007. The players were very disappointed with their 8-8 finish and will step it up. I think Tomlin will give them the spark they need to go far. They were undisciplined last year, too many stupid penalties. I think Cowher just wanted out and all the players new that. Willie will continue to run well. Ben almost died in the motorcycle accident and had an appendectomy, that would screw up anyones year. He will be improved this year. Ben 2 Hines !!!!!!!!!!

The Steelers are done. They will hit the tank this year and not even make to the playoffs again. Alot has happened to see the demise of this once proud franchise and the main reason for it is the departure of their former head coach Bill Cowher. He was and still is the one that made this team what they were. Not only have they lost a future Hall Famer coach, but most importantly, their personality. Without him there, the Steelers are going to finish somewhere from the middle to the bottom of their respective division.

Tomlin=Great Coach, will get the job done.

Hartings= Chukky Okobi, his backup, is a great Center, so no need to get Center early in Draft, probably 4th-7th round.

Ben= Just a bad year, no need to worry.

Draft= 1. Leon Hall, CB, Michigan.
2. Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson
3. Dwayne Jarrett, WR, USC
4. Quentin Moses, DE/OLB, Georgia
(any of those guys 1st Round)

I Predict 11-5(Lose in Confernce)

Big Ben will rebound from the string of injuries and illness and the team will be ovr its super bowl hangover. The real x factor is how much change the coaching staff will bring to the game plan.

Steelers challenge for a division title and make the playoffs. Once you're in the dance, anything can happen.

It is not the players I am worried about...but the coaches. Ben just had more than one person can deal with. He said he was fine, but how many people with metal in thier head do you know, let alone playing a contact sport. I worry about another concussion. Either way if he plays good or bad people will blame him or thank him, like all other QB's

I truly believe Ben is overrated. Yes he won a Super Bowl but it wasn't because of him. It was the running game and the defense. The more he has to do to win a game, the worse their chances are. With a new coach as well, it normally takes time for a team to adjust. I see them finishing third in their division behind Baltimore and Cincinnatti. Wild card is also out of the question because the AFC is too good. At least they should do better than my Raiders! But the year after could be the year they get close.

they should do alot better than the 06 season and only had little success this season due to ben nd his accident and then he got into a slump, he should of taken more time ff to recover but now has mucked up his near perfect stats from his first 2 seasons, we'l jus have to see the new coaching could of been a bad idea though
