i heared from people that women who are pregnant for the second time tend to go into labor earlier and faster than the first baby. I have a 3 year old and i was 2 weeks over due with her before she decided to come into this world and 13 hours of labor (ouch). I am now 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant had a Practice labor once but i get all these signs of early labor such as presure down there, emotional, nesting etc. i walk alot, have sex and drink rasberry tea leaf...... what do you reckon!

I would say that all pregnancies and deliveries are different, I have 4 children and my first was a day late with three days of labor, my second was 11 days late with 10 hrs. of labor, third 9 days late with 5 hours of labor, and fourth on the due date with 7 hours of labor, I did all the myths to send myself into labor and found that nothing really worked... when it's time, it's time.... Walking could help in the delivery making it easier to deliver, same as staying active... Good luck and even if the baby doesn't come early you don't have much time left anyway enjoy the peace & sleep while you can

Yes it is true most second labors are over a lot quicker than the first.
PArtially due to relaxing, but mostly due to the fact that the muscles have done it all before, your body's use to it. Your body is also less shocked by the whole process/
If you have the pressure down there then you must be pretty close but I had that for a couple weeks before I gave birth.
Raspberry leaf tea is GREAT for brining a baby ontime! They say dont drink it before your 37th week because it can bring on labor, but its less likely to bring on premature labor than it is to just stop you going far over your due date.
By the sounds of it, you could have a week left - walk lots - DON'T drink castor oil, as many reccomend because my doctors all told me how dangerous this is.
Keep up the tea, have lots of sex - sperm softens the cervix so can cause labor if the time is right.
Good luck!

After 3 kids i'd have to say no to faster. My first was the quickest (6 hours from the first twinges) the other two labours were much longer (sorry). I think that with my first a hot bath helped speed things up and found with my second that after having contractions for 14 hours, no waters breaking, and dilating only 3 cms that again a hot bath helped as 5 mins after getting out of the bath my waters broke and 30 mins later out she popped! There was no bath available with my 3rd and she took a good 14 hours from the first contractions!

however my first (boy) was a week late. Second (girl) 2 days early. Third (girl) 1 week early.

I certainly did. I was induced after 10 days overdue with 1st son-labour lasted 5hrs. Had 2nd son 5 days overdue - and once he decided to arrive he was here within an hour. \its the uterus muscles - once they loosen labours are much easier and faster apparantly.

Keep drinking the raspberry tea and eating fresh pineapples - also, I scrubbed my over the day before I went into labour so, maybe??

Keep arnica tablets (about £4.80 from boots) nearby - when labour is fully established take two tablets every 1/2 hour (read label) for quicker healing if you tear etc

it all depends on your body! My first child was a week early and i was in labor for about 11 hours. my second child was 2 days early and I was only in labor for 4 hours, got to the hospital just in time to have her. now with that, I am pregnant with my 3rd, and am scared to death for it to happen again like my second. Scared the baby might come in the car. lol just make sure you get to the horpital in time

i think when you have a second baby (i have three) because you know what is coming you really worry about it and that can sometimes prevent you from going into labour. from my experience my second and third births were quicker and actually less painful because i knew what to expect if you are nervous just try and relax and things will happen when you are both ready good luck x x
