Okay, obviously 3 balls per frame is talking about bowling. But what's the second part mean? means of lightning? took its name? any thougths on this one?

Bowling only has 2 balls per frame.
But baseball has three strikes per batter. Ta da!!!!
A strike is what lightning does!
The riddle could also be talking about bowling, because in the last frame, you get three balls if you STRIKE!!!
Therefore the answer is definately strike!
