You can "gate-check" things like strollers, wheel chairs, walkers, and musical instruments. All you have to do is tell them at the check-in desk that you will be gate-checking the item. They will give you a special tag to put on the item. When you go down the walk way to get on the plane, you leave the gate-check item by the door and they will put it under the plane by hand. When you land, they will bring the item back to the walk way for you to pick up. I have traveled with a variety of strollers when my 4 kids were little. I have also traveled with my Grandma (who is 91 and still flies) who gate checks her walker. My son plays the cello and we have traveled with it by gate checking it. When you go through security with a wheelchair or stroller, the occupant has to get out (if possible) so the item can be security checked. I don't think you will have a problem with it. If the office is closed for the airline, see if they have a website to check.

Yes, I took my mamas and papas 03 series 3-wheeler on a ryanair flight stanstead to prestwick with out any hassle whatsoever. They let you take it down to the gate and leave it at the flight steps when you board and then leave it there again when you land so that you don't have to carry your baby anywhere. I found them really good.

I have a BOB revolution, so not a small umbrella stroller - it's a three-wheeler too.
I've flown on Air Canada, West Jet, AA (I think?) and United with it, in Canada and the US.
Never had any problems at all with it. Stroll it right up to the plane's entrance, fold it, and leave it. It's right there ready when I get off the plane - they even usually manage to unfold it for me.
Hope that helps!

Yes I flew with Ryanair last year and I had a Mamas & Papas freestyler, you just leave it at the bottom of the stairs to the plane then they put it in the hold, when you arrive its their for you straight away.

They don't specify size - and they include prams as well as buggies - so you should be fine.
