instead of starting with a mindset to make a good song, try to let it just sort of come to you. You will just drive yourself crazy trying to just burst out into an amazing riff. Not sure what instrument you play or how you would want to incorporate it into your song, but just sit and play. Knowing how to improvise and knowing music theory helps a lot. Wait until you stumble across something you really like and try to build around it. Also, once you have kind of made a style and sound for it, try to hear in your head a follow up part and then figure it out on your instrument. If you're talking about lyrics, then i don't know. Don't do it on something stupid. That is grade A advice right there.

see you cant just sit down and think that i m goin to write a song now.its not that way songs are alwayz cliked in the writers mind so dont stress it too much. 1 moment will come that a good song like thing will click in your mind and you just have to enlarge the idea and rhyming scheme is not nesscary .all the best

find some good poetry or try makin 1 urself and then concentrate on da music. a lovely musical tune even makes da worst lyrics sound good. first try a love ballad, it never fails.........
