us copyrights law, what's the punishment of buying priate books, softwares or so on?

hope someone could get the exactly number of how much will be fined? is every state different?

Mostly its fines and these things are considered private property. If I stole something that belongs to you, what do you think should be the punishment? Dont be a hypocrite, fork over the cash for what you want legitimately, otherwise you are a thief under the law.

Generally possession of pirated items will only lead to confiscation if found. However such items might further implicate the person as a willful participant in an unlawful distribution scheme.

The act of distribution, whether free or for profit, is generally where the the infringement action is taken. The rights holder, if he has registered his works, can either sue for actual damage or statutory damage. Statutory damages for an intentional act of theft, as you seem to be talking about, can be as high as $30,000 and applies to each and every copy made.
