Ones that I have stayed at just give a broadband internet connection. Some are free and others charge a daily fee. Some of the classier ones [even Casinos] offer wireless access (which they don't always tell about unless you ask specifically because they can't bill you for use). The ones that have a wired connection available will loan you a Cat5 cable to go with it (need to leave a deposit to make sure you return it). If you have trouble getting on-line they sometimes have an 800 number IT company that will talk you through the connection process for free.
Ones that cater to a lot of business people often have a Business Center where you can rent time on an internet-connected computer complete with printer.

It's usually just access for your laptop. Some of them will have a few you can use for a short time, like a computer lab. Enough that you can check email but not great for serious surfing. Depends on the hotel. I would assume however, that most just provide the wired jack or wireless access.

Internet access is just that...access to the Internet. You need your own computer. But, call the hotel and see if they have a communal computer (either complementary or pay). Many hotels are now providing this service now days.

no it means that you are able to access the internet if you have a laptop sometimes you might it cost you or it might be complimentary. you might need to let them know if you wanna access the internet so if they have a kit you get it if needed to access the internet

Depends on the hotel. Most of them i've been to have either DSL or T1 connections and wireless hotspots.
