What to expect when you r expecting is great!! Also you can get load of free magazines and online sample for you and baby!!! I think American baby will give you a free subscription for a year so its really cool I have tons of them and save them because they have things about all differant ages. Also my docotrs office gave me a book called the first years and it was very helpful with the first child!! No matter what you read always do what you feel is in the best intrest of you and your child Moms just kinda know those things!!! Good Luck and God Bless you and the little one!!

Dr. Sears The Baby Book. Anything by Sheila Kitzinger, Happiest Baby on the Block. Very compassionate, common sense, and informative books.

Im not sure if you mean books about being a mom or books for a baby. these arnet really baby books but they are GREAT childrens picture books:

The Girlfriends guide to pregnancy is a candid and hilarious look at all the things nobody ever tells you about being pregnant. it cracked me up through my first pregnancy. Also Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy is supposed to be pretty good but i havent read it yet. The What to Expect books are the most informative

there are lots of books out there the best i have found is
tanya byron
mirriam stoppard
and a great book for any mother which is also quite funny is the bad mothers handbook its very easy to relate to and is nice to read a chearfull parenting book.

The "what to expect" series is great
They have
what to expect when you are expecting
what to expect the the first year
and what to expect the toddler years..
