After you start Nursing School you will have a Pediatric rotation. This gives a nursing student the ability to work on peds. you go through clinicals and you will have this course in peds. Then when you graduate from nursing school and pass your boards go apply for a job in Pediatric's.

My Moms a Medical Doctor. She does pediatrics and Internal medicine. Right out of H.S. she went to college with Financial Aid and Student Loans. She was suppose to do ten yrs worth of school but finished in 8 becuase she did summer school also. Now she has her own office by Walmart. Oops, I thought you said doctor. Nurse? geezz your a freshman in H.S. and already aiming for low careers. Sad .. i know :(

Hone up on math and science. Take chemistry when you can. Also, consider being a pediatrician vs a pediatric nurse (pay is better, hours are better). Good Luck to you!!!

Get some work experience working with children, that always helps, try playschemes and do a bit of voluntary work
