You can have a heating pad, warm water bottle and even bananas. This is because there is potassium in them. That helps to relax the muscles.
Potassium, a mineral, assists in muscle contraction and in maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance in body cells. Potassium is also important in sending nerve impulses as well as releasing energy from protein, fat, and carbohydrates during metabolism.
I had a tennis meat and I was having a leg cramp. They gave me a banana and within a couple of minuets the cramping stoped. It works wonders.

Natural remedies: PMS tea; Red Raspberry leaf tea at Health food stores and some Rite Aids in Homeopathic Med sections. Ibuprofen works well. Rest in a ball with a heating pad....

Whatever you do, do not drink a lot of caffeine!! It made me feel worse it might make you feel worse as well.
I eat more chocolate during that time of the month if I have cramps and it always makes me feel better.
Or buy some hot pads to put on the outside of your panties but inside your pants and it applies constant heat for up to 8 hours!!! Heat on yor lower abdomen helps very well!!

My friends told me that bananas are really great for cramps. I've tried it myself, and wala it worked like a charm! Sure, there will still be some mild pain, but not the full-blown cramps. And even though prescriptions are at the bottom of your list, some women get them so bad that they actually have a prescribed medicine that they take when on their period. For over-the-counter type things, try Midol. It works great. <3

Midol is great....the trick is to start taking it a couple of days before the start of your period, and then throughout your period. You can also try a hot bath or applying a heating pad. Regular exercise can also help.
