Or you can surprise everyone by cheering for one to the rookies - like Mike Lomas. Only 16 years old and a junior in high school. He plays LW and wears #21.

Be open-minded at the game. It can be fun just watching the speed, hitting, and the crowd reactions. Try to enjoy it.

It always helps to have someone to root for, so you idea of picking a player and cheering him on is good. Buy a program at the beginning of the game and try to become familiar with the names.

It always surprises me when someone doesn't like hockey....it's so very likable.

It's fast, it's unpredictable, it's exciting, it takes grace and skill and even if you just think hockey players are cute (teeth ain't everything you know) you should find something to make you fall in love with this game.

I fell in love 37 years ago when I was 8 and the more you learn about the players and the teams the more you'll like it.

I don't know anything about the Brampton team, but you've got good advice from other posters for that. Give it more than a passing glance, it's a very worthy obsession!

Have fun!

John Hughes is your best bet. He's the Captain, he plays center, wears number 22 and he's the teams leading goal scorer. these are his stats;

36 Games Played
17 Goals
24 Assists
26 Penalty Minutes

just cheer the whole team on, you dont have to pick favorite players.

in some cases, like with the Pittsburgh Pirates (baseball), there arent really any good players to cheer for, so i cheer for the team itself.

Hope this helped, have a good time at the game

John Hughes. He's the captain and wears number 22. He's also the team's leading scorer.

Single out a random player on the opposing team and give him the business.

I think it would be best just to cheer the team on as a whole.

Shotgun_mercenary....I resent that, Jason Bay is my neighbor, and he's a really good player
