If it's a funny sound, why would you WANT it to stop?

I'll bet it's your heartbeat, I once described the noise to my Dr. as sounding like tennis shoes in the dryer. The reason you're hearing it now is the water from the snow is probably amplifying it. If there is any pain involved then call your Dr. otherwise it should clear up when the water goes away.

You probably have water in your ear. Stand on one foot, the foot that is on the side that your hurt ear is on, tilt your head to the side (Ear that hurts down) and hop up and down. If it is water, this should get it out.
You may have damaged it with the freezing temperatures, so if the above doesn't work, you should see a specialist.

It might mean that you still have some water in your ear. If it doesnt go away you might want to talk to a doctor. It shouldn't be a major deal though. So don't worry.

snow is really water and its not good to have water in your ear. maybe wait it out if its not that bad, but then see an ear, nose, and throat doctor. (or just your family doctor first)

You have water in your ear.

Lay on that side for a few hours, and it should quit.

If it don't, see a doctor.

You will know when it drains, it will feel like a very warm liquid.
