There should be no ban. I agree, there should be restrictions of where and where you can not use and smoke. But a ban is ridiculous. A few reasons being...

1) A ban such as the prohibition of alcohol sales would make smuggling more common, and more violence and crime will occur. Therefore more people will be in jail and our jails will be flooded, and we will lose money due to us having to pay more for the jailed ones.

2) If you wish to smoke, it's for you and yourself only. You can do whatever you want to yourself for all I care, as long as it's in your own home and based on your own decision. Now smoking in a filled and closed room should be illegal, since you're not granting those who wish to not smoke free air. You are ultimately killing those people through second hand smoke. But if you do it by yourself, go ahead, who cares?

That's how I feel, alex.

Lets go one step further. It is pretty well known that fast foods in general, sugar, to many carbs. to many calories, alcohol, additives in food, salt, not enough physical activities, the radiation from micro-wave ovens, elements used in manufacturing, carbon dioxide levels in some homes, mold, pollen, vehicle emissions, the gasses from aerosol cans, cow farts, the stuff they dump in our drinking water, etc. etc. etc. are all harmful elements. Lets ban all of it!!! You can kill yourself on over the counter meds! Lets ban those too. Is it up to a 300lb. person eating a candy bar for dessert after consuming a hamburger (with all the trimmings) an order of french fries and a large soda, to tell the 125lb. person to stop smoking because it's bad for their health? Do you buy into the theory of second hand smoke, that says (basically) that it is more dangerous to follow a bus a block away than it is to have your mouth over the exhaust pipe? Get real!!! If they want to ban things that are bad for people, maybe they should make the list more complete. OK to have separate areas for smokers/non-smokers, but leave individual rights/choices alone. The next target group might include YOU!!

I don't smoke and I don't plan on starting,,,,But, I have had it with this big brother bull crap that all the googie two shoes have been handing us. If you want to smoke, fine it's your body. I know that a goodie two shoe will tell us of his rights not to breath your smoke but, I say let em move to another coner of the room. Bull Crap. Smoke em if you got em. We will soon be told that we can't eat burgers because they cause something,,Bull Crap and Bull Crap. If they don't like second hand smoke, let em buy a second hand gas mask. Don't you all just love it when 2 people are always trying to tell 100 people whats good for them?

It should be banned by the nation... And, That is a bunch of BS about the constitution giving you rights to make other people sick.

Smoking not only cause the person that smokes problems, it also causes mucho problems for those that are near the smoker.

Small children are affected by this a great deal..
If you smoke in your home, the people around you stand about a 75 percent chance of getting sick because of second hand smoke.

Use your head, DON'T SMOKE nor be around those that do.

there shouldn't be one, the government needs to clean up the POLLUTION causing the problems, and get rid of the Chemicals they put in our FOOD. Not to mention stop giving people MEDS that cause more problems the what they are trying to get rid of.
Put 1 smoke stack bellowing smoke and then get as many people with one cigarette to equal that smoke, together in one place then you can say there's a problem.

Hello,

Look, I do not like smelling smoke either.

BUT!!!

I also like having my FREEDOMS!

Please, please, o-p-e-n your e-y-e-s and see what our leaders are doing to us.

We are not a free nation or free people anymore.

We are becoming slaves. Please tell me you see this.

First, it is all these commercials about no more smoking.
Second, it is our government taking away our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
Third...
Fourth....
Fifth....

Shall I go on......

Am I painting a pretty, little picture for you yet?
Am I connecting the dots here?
Please tell me you see where I am going with this.

Well, if you are a communist, them all have stated above is just bologna.

Hope this helps you................. : - O

I think that according to the Constitution the Federal Government has no authority in this matter. It has to be decided by the States.
