We use the free parking rule, where players pay their tax, community chest and chance into the middle of the board and the player who lands on free parking gets it.
We also use Snake Eyes, when you roll a 1 on both dice and get 1000$.
We allow deals to be struck between players to help with money, especially when playing with children.

By suggesting the houserule and getting it ok'd by the group.
We usually put any money we'd have to pay the bank into the center of the board instead (except houses. Taxes, building upkeep, yes, but not houses and hotels), and whoever lands on Free Parking gets the pile. It's turned the game around quite a few times when someone who was down to 100 dollars and 4 mortgaged properties was suddenly making a comeback because of Free Parking.

The biggest break is the free parking rule, people put money under free parking when they pay chances, community chests, and income tax, not the bank.
In my opinion helps make the game go on forever.

I use the free parking rule. I use the rule of you must go around the board once before you can buy a property. If you roll doubles 3x's you go to jail. If you want to get out of jail you must pay $50.00 and put it in the free parking space. I think that is about it.

Why do you want to break rules in a game? That would be an attempt to control the outcome. If you are that controlling perhaps you need to find a new passion in life other than asking Yahoo questions.

Well when we land on go we get 400 dollars instead of 200.
And if we dont have enough money to pay rent we give them properties they need or something.
We always go around the board once before purchasing

we set a time limit, have donations for the broke players, occasionally get more money for passing go, and people cn try 2 times in a row to get out of jail.

all the money from the cards goes in the free parking space all the fines goes in there too,,
we start the game off by placing the money demo into the kitty too,,
