Emotionally unstable could mean that a person's moods fluctuate in extremes.....say for example: too much stress or frustration could upset the balance in a person's mood; maybe one person is stable enough to handle all of that....but a person who is emotionally unstable is on a roller coaster ride....things have to be a perfect balance or they go 'crazy'.....we're all a little emotionally unstable when it comes to certain issues....could be finances, health, stress, heartbreak, loss of a loved one..that's normal...it's when little daily things are a constant hassle for someone that they become overwhelmed and unstable when a 'normal' person wouldn't.
