As long as you have a 17" (or more) Display, you definitely can. If you have less than 17" display, I strongly suggest that you change the display too to get the most out of new computers. Keyboard, mouse, speakers, microphone, and most of the times external modems, will work great for more than 10 years on every PC.

Have you checked out these computers at Apple? http://www.apple.com/imac/ browse a little, I think people like them a lot, they just don't know about them.

If your PC is doing what you want then you don't need to replace it. That is a guideline about upgrading and replacing. If you buy a new tower it will come with everything you need except a monitor, but I would get a new flat screen monitor because it give you lots of desk space.

Better still, why replace the whole tower. Take it down to a computer shop and ask for new (faster => 1048 Mb) memory - RAM- and new memory/hard-drive. Get them to transfer your data from your old drive to the new one and then you won't lose any of your work.

Sure, but if your pc is working fine why spend money on a new one unless you really need to.

It depends on how worn those parts are and if the parts are still doing their job good or not.
