I don't want to spoil the movie or the book for you. I know in the book and the 1985 film version that Leslie does die, while entering Terabethia alone via the rope swing, the rope breaks, Leslie falls and hits her head, and drowns in the creek. As far as the new 2007 version I don't know if they stay true to that fact or not. i suppose I will just have to wait and see when it finally comes to dvd, I refuse to see it in theaters. Hope that answers your question without ruining it for you. It still is a great book, a Nobel winner in 1977.

Yes, Leslie does die in Bridge To Terabthia because Jesse's father says she was trying to swing on the rope tthat leads to Terabithia but the rope broke and shed drowned in the lake below. And also we never see Leslie in the film again.

Yes she does. The rope she swings on breaks and she drowns. It was an excellent movie and it followed the book pretty closely. There were funny parts and of course some pretty sad parts dealing with death but all the kids that were in the movie tonight loved it. You should definitely go see it!

Yeah, unfortunately, Leslie does die. Completely tragic, in my opinion. I love Leslie, though, her imagination RULES!! My being an author myself, she totally captivates me!

Yes, she does. I read the reviews and they talked about her death. The book was beautiful though, but I haven't seen the movie yet. I think I'm going to be disappointed; the books are always better than the movie.

i'm sorry but did you watch the movie yet, i mean i can't spoil the ending, though you know she dies!!!!!!
it's really sad, it's not the death of leslie that makes it important (maybe) but for me, is how leslie shows jess how important it is the keep his minds wide open
