Salt water is the best! The fish are more beautiful. The saltwater tank isn't much different than freshwater tanks............. I have 10 tanks total 2 freshwater tanks with freshwater breeding angels. They mate regularly and produce tons of fry. I also have 8, count them 8 saltwater tanks! 6 are seahorse tanks! ( only by captive bred that are trained to eat frozen foods, wild caughts are cheaper but will only eat live food and usually die 20 days into capitivity. they are hard to get them to eat at all. I have 2 wild caught and let me tell you that was a serious challange to get them to eat for me. I have been doing this now for 20+ years. Seahorse are not as hard to take care of, they are no different than any other saltwater fish. The current can not be as strong because they are poor swimmers. And they need to be in a species only tank. You can not put aggressive fish with them or strong aggresive feeders, that will eat all the food before they get any. The seahorses will starve to death....... NO ANMONES EITHER THEY WILL STRING AND EAT THE SEAHORSES! So coral is not safe either. have percula crowns in my tanks with them, These fish are fine tank mates. I have hermit crabs (small), snails, feather dusters, shrimp...... These are all suitable tank mates for them. No shrimp with dwarf seahorses. The shrimp will eat them. Dwarfs need a small tank. A 5 gallon will hold 10 pair + babies! My other two saltwater tanks are HUGE 2000 gallon with tangs, puffers, angels, clowns, ect,ect.ect.....starfish hermit crabs, snails, emerald crabs! ect,ect...... My 500 gallon has the same... I have LOTS OF FISH. 20+ years adds up to BIG money!!!!!!!!! Hope this helped. Have fun.....JUlie

I have a 60 gallon tank and am the proud mama of 6 beautiful, baby, fancy goldfish named after the Our Gang characters. Spanky, Alfalfa, Buckwheat, Froggy, Porky and Darla Jean. And when they get to be teenagers, lol!, they are going to need to be moved into a bigger dorm room! And a 40 gallon outdoor fountain pond with two 6 inch sarasa comets. They're all porkies!
Magicman, you cheat! You have a lab!!! Just teasing! lol!

I have a ten gallon with a tiger barb, a serpae tetra, and a siamese algae eater. I also have a one litre tank with a couple hundred triops in it. Pretty soon (I think tomorrow), I'm going to put a couple triops in my 1-2 gallon tank to see if they grow better in there. I just have to get the sand.

I have a small tank with a Beta, as well as a bigger one with only one fish at the moment, A Loach. Loaches are really cool, they look a little bit like a worm with fins. :))
