I used to like wrestling, back in the days of the Original Ultimate Warrior, Andre the Giant, Big Boss man, Macho man, but that was when I was a young boy. what is the deal with middle age men getting all excited about it? plus, it's so filthy now.

Well u do have some good points .Maybe its becuz u have more important things to do then watch wrestling since ur a adult now.I don't think that growing out of it is the deal.its kinda like all those dramas for girls they watch and watch it and buy dvds and stuff but once they stop watching it for while they see it was dumb too.Maybe if u started watching it now u like it.

I am a woman and I happen to watch wrestling (Raw, Smackdown and ECW) and have been watching since I was 12. I know that the storylines get a little bit out of control and the sexism is there but I do enjoy it.
My great great uncle was a professional wrestler for years and then a promoter down in Northern Ontario until the early 70's when he retired and he used to tell me stories about his parties at his little summer place and of all the wrestlers he had there like Andre the Giant, etc, whom my dad met. I guess you could say that this was a major reason as to why I watched it then and still do today.
If people are going to complain about how it is "filthy", etc, then don't watch and do something else. People are going to watch it if they want to. For me personally, I may never stop watching it. I think he would be happy that I have some enjoyment out of watching something that used to be his bread and butter. I am proud to have had someone in the business and what he brought to it, although it is very different from the days when he wrestled.

As far as middle aged men, I think you just answered your own question, it's filthy. As far as the rest of the 18-31 demographic, it's just something that you can get caught up in. It's not only what goes on in the ring, it's about backstage politics, the independents who show promise, and a thirst for nostalgia. I watch because I'm looking for the next Ric Flair. I watch because I actually appreciate wrestling for what it is. It's not a sport, it's not a play, it's void of definition other than entertainment. Why do grown men still watch football and baseball? Because it passes time and lets you forget about life. Wrestling does the same thing.

Well, I'm 20 years old, and I still enjoy wrestling. But you have to distinguish here. I stopped watching WWE in 1999, because I got to know that McMahon treats wrestlers very bad and that he is a man without honor. And WWE storylines are filthy, that is true (Eddie Guerrero's death is still used, Katie Vick and so on). After the death of WCW (who had some moral standards) I only watched old WCW video tapes and waited for another wrestling promotion. Now, I watch TNA and ROH, and I still enjoy it. I love wrestling, and the wrestlers are my childhood heroes. I will always love it. And by the way: I am a woman, but I do not watch it because they are so "cuuuuuuuuuutteeeeeeeeeeee" (as John Cena fans do), but because I love this sport.

idk about you but I'm a die hard wresting fan and I don't think It's filthy. It's fun to me. It's hard to explain, It's just when you like something, you stick with It I guess.
I don't really care If you like It or not, there's plenty of people that don't like It, but there is 10 times more that love It, including me.
