I thought my stomach was bigger than normal, too, and secretly thought I was having twins, but it turned out I was completely wrong. Some people show faster (and bigger) than others - it all depends on genetics, your body type, and how you're carrying your baby. I'm on the thin side and was wearing maternity pants almost as soon as I found out I was pregnant (around 6 1/2 weeks). I had a slender friend, however, who fit into her regular pants until almost 4 1/2 months. So, I would trust the doctor and just be excited you'll get more pregnant comments sooner. :)

I don't know what kind of test that was run on you, but if you did not have an ultrasound you need to get one. That's how they found out that I was having twins. I was only four or five months pregnant and they thought that I was really farther along with just one. I knew how far along I was but the doctors would not believe me. When they seen two babies they knew then that I was telling the truth. That's been 20 years ago so they may do different things now to find out. Good Luck!

It is doubtful. Everyone shows differently. I always show even after just being a few weeks pregnant, because I have a condition inwhich I produce too much amniotic fluid. So, I end up looking like I'm carrying a football team. If your hormone levels are extremely elevated, then that is a possible sign of multiples. But unless you see 2 babies on an ultrasound, or your OB hears 2 separate heartbeats, then it sounds like you are having just one this time!

Honey, nobody here is going to be qualified to give you a second opinion. Once in a blue moon, a twin "hides," but it's very rare. A bigger than normal belly is relative, anyway. Women show differently.

there is no normal pregnant stomach size, it all varies from woman to woman. what are the tests your dr. is running? an ultrasound will tell you how many babies, also when you go to listen for the heartbeat you will hear 1 or 2 depending...

if the doctor is right, the doctor probably is right. if your stomach is bigger than normal, if you were having twins, it'd probably be most likely bigger than that, even.

I had a huge belly with my youngest daughter and it was just the way I was carring her. I carried my son more in my back and her more up front. I would say trust your Dr.
