Totally normal. It gets better after you've heard the heartbeat and have seen the baby on an ultrasound, but up until the end it's always in the back of your mind.

Yes! Absolutely! In fact, I worry more and earlier with every child. Don't let it run your life. Eat right, get enough rest, and keep up with your prenatal visits. If there is true reason to worry, your doctors will let you know. Once you start feeling baby kick in 10 or so weeks you will relax a lot! You might ask your doctor how s/he feels about you purchasing or renting a Doppler. then you can listen to the baby's heartbeat sometimes yourself. I've not ever had one, but a friend of mine bought one with her last pregnancy. It really helped her and her hubby relax (they had lost one baby at 9days old and miscarried another - so they kind of "needed" the reassurance the Doppler offered). Good Luck - oh and in the next appointment or so you will be able to hear the heartbeat - that will go a long ways toward making this all "real" and allaying your worries.

I'm 15 weeks pregnant and i still worry about losing the baby. Everyone tells me that it's a normal thought but that it'll be ok and so will my baby. So I guess it is normal. I know it's hard but try not to think about it. I am =)

It was normal for me with all my babies until I did have them and know they were ok. Yes, it is normal although the danger is supposed to be in the first trimester, you can loose your baby any
time before actual birth and it is only natural for you to be concerned about the health and safety of your unborn child and your health as well! Meaning, it should not be an obsession that prevents you from most daily activities you had before conceiving this child and excercise is important and diet, etc. So do Not get to
I can not turn my head, the baby or I can not blow my nose, the
baby and it is not funny as some just make me want to run and not walk the other way with, the baby!

Honey...yes it is competely normal to worry. Some say it goes away once you get out of first trimester...but I am 31 weeks, and I still worry.

Example: I called my mom three times today bc the baby has had the hiccups five times in two days, and I worry he is choking on the fluid!!!!!! She says he cannot choke bc he does not breath yet!!! HAHA...I still worry!!!!! It doesnt matter how many times she says this is normal...I still worry!!!!

As long as your worry does not stress you out, which can hurt baby, then you are fine!!! What will help you though as you go through is too rent a heart monitor. You can get one on babybeat.com for $25 a month, and return it after the baby!!! It has helped me through so many nights of worry, especially bc you will not feel him/her for a while!!!

Good luck!!!! Try to relax!!!

Of course of course of course!! This fear is probably in the back of EVERY pregnant woman's head. I am having a completely, 100% normal, healthy pregnancy and I worried the entire first trimester about losing the baby.

Once you hit your 2nd trimester you will feel better. Your chances of miscarriage drop dramatically...

Until then try not to worry! It's a natural fear, but you're baby will be fine! :)

Good luck!

yes...but try not to. stress can cause long term damages to your baby. pretty much i know its hard to not think about becuz i have lost a few pregnancys myself. but know when its meant to be it'll happen. just trust that God will not giv you more thn you can handle and take it one day at a time. before you know it you'll be going in for your 20 week sono to see the babys gender. i am now almost 40 weeks. i got until tuesday. then they are most likely inducing. i never thought i'd get to this point. at m first appt i was alread more pregnant than i had ever been. you know what that bible verse says right.

give all your worries and stresses to God becuz he loves you. i'm not sure its thats word for word or where it is but just pray about it and i promise God will listen.

Absolutely normal. Every to-be-mom worries about this..and once you make it past this stage, you venture into a whole new realm of worries.
Try focusing on all the good things about this stage and educate yourself...pregnancy is the most amazing time (even with all the pains and worries) so I hope you enjoy it because it will fly by.
Congrats on your up-coming bundle of joy!

It is a normal fear to have throughout your pregnancy. Just relax and try not to think about it. If you have already seen/heard the heartbeat your chances of losing the baby have gone down dramatically.
