Be thankful while you have it. Happiness come and go. I had it once. I keep trying to grab it and hold on to it. It's wonderful if you have got it.When it all boils down it's a state of mind.I was told once that we all make our own happiness. When you think about it ,I guess it's true.

The light in your mind is happiness.
Read a really good book, and think about what makes a character happy and what makes him sad. Think about how much of his unhappiness is fate, and how much of it is his own rationality. Start to analyze what makes a person feel worthwhile. Think about the main character's sacrifices, and you'll start to understand that happiness is not always a feeling of elation or giddyness, but a serious committment to sacred things and a honing in on the love that matters. Try your best, and uncover that gentle spirit within you, that same spirit that translocates the world from one day to the next. In time you will see the great mysteries unfold, and your life will be a perfect and wonderful thing.

I believe that you have not found the passion that will get you up in the morning..granted, you already possess some of the things that many people search their whole lives for, so be thankful for that. however, if you still have a nagging tension in your heart, you may want to consider becoming more involved in your spiritual beliefs, i.e. going to church, temple, or mosque, etc. Perhaps, your calling may be helping others, i.e. working with a non-profit organization which provides needy families with basic supplies; fundraising for Hurricane Katrina cleanup; lobbyying for greater environmental protection by working with your local congressman...these are all national issues that need attention and YOU alone could contribute positively to some of the most pertinent problems that are affecting our world as we know it...don't worry, i'm sure you will figure out what will give you personal satisfaction...just be proactive and start looking around...:)

Sometimes when couples are married they give so much of themselves and their time to the family; which is a very good thing. But, they should have some time that they can spend on something special that they love to do. I think everybody in a relationship should have some "me time". Time that they can look forward to. Not meaning to take it to such extremes that the "me time" over-rides the main focus on the family. Sometimes your special time might have to take a back seat when unexpected things come up. But, you should be able to pick-up on your time when the crisis or whatever is over. I'm not talking about time to have an affair of any kind. Each part of the couple should have the same privilege of "me time".

Happiness definitely exixst as well as sadness. In fact, it would be impossible to define the one without the presence of the other, wouldn't it.
Now people, including me, tend to be unhappy about their life concerning a short period of time. You said that you have some good friends, so you can just try to have fun together, and you will more than definitely remember the good times you had with them when you are older. If you don't like your life, you are the one who can change it. There is ALWAYS more out there, just live with what you have and remember that the best are yet to come.

i dont think your expecting too much out of life. i have the same problems like i have everything anyone could want but im still not happy. maybe you could find some time to read or sit and think about why your sad. thats what i do. but hopefully you can find some time to escape reality for a bit to see whats making you so unhappy and then start from there to find a cure.

No one but you can make you happy, you need to be happy with what you have but always reach for more. You say that you have a wonderful family, start enjoying them, check out your childs smile at least once a day. Tell someone something good about themselves at least once a day. As you give happiness to others you will soon start to experience it for yourself.

Happiness? What is happiness? Can anyone admit that they are truly happy? I can't. Most of the times we are contented, contented with life, satisfied, satisfied with whatever we have. But we can never be truly happy. Why is happiness so hard to achieve.
When we said that we are happy, is it actually a lie? We dont even understand what true happiness is, how can we said that we are happy? Is it just a figure of speech to make ourselves FEEL happy? I guess so. When we said that we are happy, subconciously, we feel good, we FEEL happy. But that is not true happiness.
True happiness is something thats inside us, some thing that we dont need to tell ourselves and dont need others to tell us that we are happy to feel happy. true happiness is at peace with ourselves, no worries, no pain, no disappointment, no hurt...I wonder how many of you can truthfully admit that you are really happy....i just wonder....I guess i just have to be contented with being satisfied with my life....

Nope, you are terrific. I get the sense that you are an activist type person. Figure out what it is in your life that displeases you so and start doing something about it. Life is coming too easy for you so you don't feel challenged and now you have an itch to do something.

In my opininon, happiness is a well sought after thing. You are a very grateful person to have those things, some people would kill for that. If you want true happiness, you have to find it yourself..... So if you want even more, go find your own happiness..... Thats all the advice I can give you... Good Luck....
