lost episode 8?

how come the preview of episode 8 shows kate and locke but when i watched it, it was entirely on desmond? did i miss anything or was it a preview for other upcoming episodes?

It was a preview containing episodes so far and to come.

If you are referring to the Sky one.

It's for a future episode. Probably the next one or the one after that.
