if its your messenger , uninstall it and reinstall it again. If you mean the browser, it might just be the site.

Yahoo is a website..."Rest "of the computer (not sure what do you mean) I think you mean other websites are running fine ?!?!
A few basic things you can do right away -Try Firefox to browse
-Clear your "Cookies" -Close your browser then re-open -
or go to "Start" "Run" & type "CMD" which it will take you to a black
screen - then type this and then enter at the end of the line
ping www.yahoo.com
See if you get something like this(see below)

bytes=32 time=35ms TTL=47
bytes=32 time=33ms TTL=47

Packets: Sent = 3, Received = 3, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 33ms, Maximum = 35ms, Average = 34ms

Be sure you get 0% Loss and a very low,low Average ,kind of like mine which is 34ms
Then advise.
