The more personal knowledge and understanding you have of yourself, the less this will occur because you are firm in your personal identity. The young are very malleable. They are still searching for who they are, so certain others, will cause them to act differently and even to copy the actions and attitudes of others. But with age and wisdom, one acts out of a more stable center, so will stay true to their real selves in the presence of others. The only time you'd need to deviate or adjust your behavior when with others, is out of seeking to establish better communication with said others. Let's say your neighbour is a very serious person but you, yourself like joking and laughing, but in the presence of this neighbour you might curb your natural tendencies, not to squelch your own identity, but because you realize this person is unable to communicate in this manner. So to facilitate talking easier with this person, you defer to their headspace, as after a few tries at humour, you realize they're not getting it, so you back up, as you're not out to change the world, and sometimes it's necessary to do this for others, to show that you will meet them halfway, out of common respect and to communicate understanding for others who are different from ourselves.

Because we all always strive to be perfect in other people's eye. No one wants to look like a loony or dope among strangers. Everyone always wants to be appreciated, respected and accepted in their society in so many way shape and form. They will do anything positively or negatively to make themselves approved by others around them. This is why people act differently around some people. But with those whom they do know better and acknowledge well already, they might put their 'mask' away and be their own self.

society tells us to act certain ways in different situations. i act very different when i am at work, for example, then when i am with friends, or at home alone.. it is sad that we can't always just be ourselves, but societal norms won't allow it. heck, i'd love to go to work crossdressed, but that just wouldn't be acceptable based on the norms they have.. kinda sad. i know i would be more productive if i was allowed to be myself there

confident that's wide-spread. there's a time and a place for each thing. you need to no longer act the form you act around your loved ones with human beings you artwork with. each physique has different facets and we elect to teach our facets at different situations. i does not difficulty approximately it.
