The promise to myself that I wouldn't spend the whole evening on yahoo..........

I don't think I've ever kept a promise! I can keep secrets because that involves me not talking, that's easy. But a promise usually means having to go out of my way to do something and to be honest, when it comes to it, I can't be bothered. I always tell people not to make me promise anything!
Now a dare is different. I always have to do a dare!

I made a promise that I won't lie to my boyfriend and I didn't keep it but I didn't mean to. I just made a mistake and he forgave me for it and I remade it and I've kept it. I also told him I'd tell him my feelings and I didn't and made a mistake on that and he forgave me and I do now. Always keep your promises no matter what they are. If you know you can't keep them then don't make them. That's my advice for everyone. I learned to do this and I'm a better person now because of it.

I always keep my promises to other people. I almost always break the promises I've made to myself.

I wouldn't make a promise unless I could keep it, its not fair on the person or people you've made it to, they end up hurting and let down.
