one easy way ... if youve tried all the poking around in different sound related software... is to uninstall the current sound card from the device manager and then reboot your machine... as windows restarts it will re-detect your sound card and install Microsoft certified drivers to get you going ... make sure this worked then go to your sound card manufacturer and download the updated drivers or just leave the windows ones if they work well enough for you

go to your sound settings and see if anyting is muted or disabled. Also try restarting the computer that would most of the time.

1st problem--- go to your sound settings and enable sound

2nd problem ------ go to control panel and select --- Sound, Speech and Audio device option and then select realteck HD Audio then click the Audio tab and enable the back panel if your speaker is connected tothe back port and enable the front panel if your speaker is connected to the front port
