I mean i don't want a democrat to take the presidential chair in 2008

Yeah, Rudy Giulianni sounds like a good one. But i don't like it when he stands on gay marriage and abortion.

Here's the thing.

If Guliani is the Republican candidate, and Hillary doesn't win democrat, then Guliani is the president. Simply because this...
Guliani is from New York (3rd largest state with 3rd most electoral college votes). So obviously he'll win NY (and NY is a strong democrat state, which would be turned to Republican).

Knowing that Guliani has 8 million supporters in NYC and still more in upstate since he's from NY, then we'll see NY republican. Now that one of the largest states has converted, together Texas and NY equal about California (which will remain democrat). Still the rest of the country is in linger (Florida another big state will be supporting republican). And there are all those 2 point states for the republicans. Understand?

But if Clinton wins democrat, and Guliani wins republican, then this will be a victory in new york for democrat. As much as Guliani is liked, the New Yorkers will vote for a more experienced official in D.C. (clinton), who will also get help and advice from her educated husband, Bill. So now if Clinton wins democrat, then NY is democrat, along with California. Together, these two states override Texas and Florida. And may even get support from Illinois as a democrat. If this happens, Clinton wins.

Understand? Confusing ay. My theory though.

Ultimately, if it's a race against Guliani and Clinton, we'll have our first lady to be president! If Clinton against McCain, we already know the victor is Clinton. If Guliani against anyone else, Guliani will be the next president.

These are the scenarios which are very educatedly determined.

To answer your question, John McCain. He can generate enough campaign fund raising and he has enough support to at least put a good dent in the Republican primaries.

His major short coming will be his open-ended policy for supporting the war. Most Americans do not support the war. The figure stands at about 60-65%. Even a number of Republicans do not support the war or at least the direction of the war. If you are looking for someone that is going to be elected and will continue the war, then I am afariad you will be disappointed in November 2008.

As for a democrat taking office, it is a good possibility. Democrats are being viewed as the anti-Republicans. That is, they now have the aura of non-corruption, hard working politicians that will stand up for the American people, in particular, the middle class.

The only Republicans that are being given any chance is McCain and Guilianni with Guilianni holding a substantial lead. If you are a staunch Republican, then you realize that Guilianni typically broke ranks with NY Republicans on several issues and usually managed to anger his fellow Republicans. He looked more like an east coast Arnold Schwarzeneger.

I would suggest to you though that when you go to the booth that Tuesday morning, try not to look at party affiliation and instead try to choose the best candidate that you think will help this country. After all, this is not a popularity contest between two rival gangs, it is a decision that could change the world and affect your future.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a candidate out there that stands out. Anything can happen and the odds that a Republican will win (even though it is too early to tell) is not that very good.

I am not against anybody supporting the war in Iraq but if we don't have a solution soon in regards to easing the violence and have an exit strategy (because face it, we will have to leave some time)...then more than likely a democrat will hold the office. I don't vote for the party, I vote for the candidate.

I think a lot of people worry most about the things that are right in front of them. The words "economy" and "recession" have been all over the news in the past month, whereas the war has been going on for 5 years. It's not that people have forgotten about it, but I think for the most part they've been tuning it out because they've been hearing about it for so long now. I'm not saying that's the way it should be, just that it's something I've noticed. Also a lot of people don't think Hillary has a great chance of getting the nomination at this point, so don't panic just yet.

I don't believe there are any Repugnant candidates that support the war, who have a chance to win the 2008 presidential election!

I dont feel like any one in favor of war will stand a chance and personally i hope not. this country is in a huge economical bind. personally i am for a democrat every one says clinton has caused all the loss of jobs. but the entire term of clinton my line of work (oilfield ) was strong, anytime a republican has been in office drilling in the united states is almost non existance. yes right now it is strong in the us. but did the gov't have a choice? nope.... in 2002 five hundred leases for drilling in the usa that was almost a gurantee to be a live hoit of both oil and gas were rejected. whom was in office? and werent we getting ready for war. does people actually know the truth behind 9/11 and the rest the terrism BUsh sr and osama and his brithers were business partners . bush ran with the $$$$$$$$ so what happens? the world of terrism does not dislike the usa. they dislike persident bush and his father. trust me i work over seas i see the foreign news that is filtered out from american tv.. Yes your gov't is lieing to you...

Rudy Guliani is beating Hillary Clinton in polls right now. I would say he has the best chance of winning in 2008.

You might as well forget Giuliani because to much baggage and when his 2nd wife gets through with him, you can kiss him goodbye. You might not want a Democrat for President but that is exactly what you are getting. If you want another Republican after this bunch you've had in office, you better get yout head checked.
