Tara lives in a state that has the same name as the longest river in the United States. What is the capital of the state directly to the east of Tara's state?
My guess is Missouri state . East of Missouri is illinois.
Capital of illinois is Springfield.

Yup, I think you're right, the answer is Springfield. Mississippi is the largest river in the USA, not the longest. Largeness is determined using the length, area of basin drained by the stream, and average rate of flow at the mouth. And Louisiana is to the west of Mississippi, not the east.
