I have 2 computers. The first computer has windows XP and the second one has windows 98 SE. The windows xp computer is connected to the internet using a DSL\CABLE MODEM. The two computers are conected each other. I installed the drivers on windows 98. All works fine, but i can't acces the internet from the windows 98 computer. Please help me.!!!! :(( P.S. : i created with windows xp a server to acces the windows 98 computer.

Well, first of all, how are they connected? Through a switch? Can you the XP machine see the 98 machine and vice-versa?

If so, you need to make your XP machine be the DHCP server. Then point your 98 machine to use the IP of the XP machine for it's DHCP server. It should pick up an IP from your XP machine.

I know XP has a internet sharing wizard...but I'm not sure it works with 98, but it's worth try. Check under help on your XP machine for sharing internet connections.

you need to get yourself a broadband router. Also windows 98 uses fat32 and xp uses ntfs so you won't be able to see them in a network together.

Get a Wireless Adapter for the 98SE (if you are running a Wireless Router) If not running a Wireless Router,get a RJ45 cable to connect it to the router (hardwire 98SE)

just shair the internet conection & use as gateway
