According to US Magazine, an employee at Body & Soul, the Sherman Oaks Tattoo Parlor where she got two tattoos done, asked why she did it. Britneys response was "I don't want anyone touching me. I'm tired of everybody touching me."
Because it is a tabloid, who knows if its credible. That seems to be her answer for now though. But, some people think that she's just gone crazy, others think she's starved for attention and others think that its a "re-birth" as she had looked into re-hab and the current news is she had checked into a hospital. I personally have no clue as to why as Britney is un-predictable.
I just hope she gets herself back on track. I'm not a fan but I do feel sorry for her two boys.

I think that once she was sent off to rehab and realized that she didn't want to be there, she did it as kind of a "You want to screw with ME?! I'll show you!" type retaliation. She doesn't realize that she actually does need help and that her friends/family (whoever sent her there) were doing what was in her best interest.

Definitely crazy. Shaving your head, when you're a woman, is never just a normal "change" or phase that you go through. Let alone when you're Britney Spears and you're in the public eye! Ugh!

I was trying to figure out why she did that as well...I cam up with two possible reasons....one, that she has damaged it so badly with all the color changes and extensions, and secondly, maybe she shaved it as a way of starting a "new beginning", and will concentrate on her singing career instead of the partying....I happen to like the girl, she is just making way to many bad choices lately....hopefully, she is on the right path now....

I think she is stressed out!!! shes probably releasing frustrations and shes going from one extreme to another. Shes going to regret she did that. I think in about 5 years shes going to look back and just think what was going through my head?!!! Shes going to be so emberrassed with herself. Man!!! Why isnt anyone helping this girl!!! Where the hell is her mother!!??? Or a good friend ??!!! What is going on with her, next thing you know shes going to be just like Courtney Love!!! EEEWWW. Shes already losing a lot of her fans, she needs to STOP!!! before shes a reject completely!

I know why she did it. She went to the haircutting place she usually goes to and she said shave me bald or I will do it myself. The hair cutter asked why? And she said because she is tired of people touching her and her hair. Then she started to cut and the guy finished.

Maybe she got a major case of head lice and this was the fastest way to cure it before rumors got out. Oh, but the rumor has already been started.... hasn't it?

Someone else said she had beautiful blonde hair....what a joke!! That girl is about as naturally blonde as Anna Nicole...Britney has lost her mind! It is a combination of too much money, too much fame, and no emotional grounding. Someone should forcibally steralize her....imagine...she keeps breeding.... what a role model!

I think it probably has to do with her "recovery", but I think she has gone completely off the deep end! Maybe she is paying homage to Anna Nicole Smith.
