Right-click My Computer on your desktop and select Properties. In the General tab that will open, you will notice below how much RAM your PC has, minus the video memory if it's on the motherboard (i.e., if you don't use a graphic card for display.) Otherwise go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Information. Wait and your system configuration, including total RAM, will show up. You may also visit crucial.com for an online RAM identification test and for some helpful memory module tips. Running SiSandra Lite (available at sisoftware.com) will provide you a nice peek into your entire system's components and advise you on possible upgrades, including RAM.

Right click on my computer and click on properties. The window which opens has info on ur ram. its usually the second last line. U can purchase RAM from any computer hardware store or online, whichever you prefer. Hope this helps!!

Crucial.com is the place, like already said. You'll get a rundown on what you already have and what you can fit - you don't have to buy your RAM from them. It's important to get compatible RAM, which this site will describe for you.

PS It's probably best not to give your address out on here, you never know what you might get!

Hi,

First check you ram by pressing WINDOWS BUTTON and PAUSE BREAK then it will bring you a window showing to whom it is registered and kind of processor and amount of ram present.

then go to curcial.com then download the software from them to check the max amount of software

Total amount of ram in you laptop.
Maximum supported ram.
Maximum amount of ram fro each slot.
etc...

press/hold the Windows key + press pause/break once...
that will bring up System Properties and you will see your RAM amount.
as for how much ram you can put in your pc you need to get the documentation from your pc maker ... go to their page and find the specifications/white-paper for your model/brand
