I had that once,it looked like a boil. That is from wearing tighty whiteys and it caused from sweat and/or rubbing when you walk.
I have worn boxers ever since and since then have had no problem with that.

What I ABSOLUTELY hate about doctors are the ignorant ones who say "don't worry about it" or "let me do the worrying for you"....well that's very easily said, because they don't have to do the dying for you. Common sense says get a second opinion. Any doctor worth a grain of salt will have a lump biopsied. Get that second opinion, your life may depend on it.

Rather cryptic really. what's a "rising"? It sounds like a sist(sp?). Does it hurt? Is it hot to the touch? You need to give us more info. If it's a sist(sp?), it's going to be painful but most can be popped, it just takes time and a constant attempting to squeeze and pop it.

If it is a sist(sp?) it's funny how they all start with an infected hair follicle.

Go to a different doc. It could be an abcess that will need to be drained. Anything "growing" like it should not be ignored.
