Nothing that occurs outside of us can destroy our happiness. We do it on our own. We believe the news media, we believe the TV commercials that say we need their product to be healthy, we believe the insurance companies who say we are victims of everything that happens to us, we believe our parents and teachers who say we'll never measure up. You get the idea! Nothing is more limiting than our own assessment of how we are doing.
No age is better or worse than another. The only source of happiness is within. You will not find it by looking or by trying to figure it out, but by becoming more aware. As you increase in awareness of whom you really are your moments of happiness will also increase. As long as you look to the outside, your level of happiness will be minimal. You and what that represents are the only source of your happiness and no one can take that away.

The possibility of human happiness still exists, in fact I believe it is inevitable. On the other hand, happiness is not possible if it's taken to mean from living in our present dependence on material wealth. Wealth comes from many sources, the obvious--material possessions, but also from good deeds, spiritual growth, human relationships, relationships with God and His Prophets; basically any kind of personal growth and improvement in an individual is a form of wealth and is praiseworthy. The kind of wealth that brings happiness takes on many forms, but it always comes from the sincere desire to serve others.
