Both.
Even though Forsberg will be the first to admit his struggle this year, he's still well capable of helping a team that is driving hard right now for a great chance at the cup. He's still putting up decent numbers this year. With 40 points in 40 games, 7 points in the last 5, a plus/minus of 5, and around 20 minutes a game, he'll definitely be a good addition to a team that is really taking off this year.
And yeah he will definitely help sell tickets.

I would have to say both. Firstly, the Predators obtained Forsberg to play for the team, and this certainly means scoring goals, and without a doubt, winning their games.
Secondly, the more the fans in Music City see Peter Forsberg in the media, scoring goals and such, as well as community appearances, the people will, hopefully, come to the games to watch both Forsberg, and the rest of the Predator team.

Nashville was already a good team without Forsberg but he is just going to put the team over the top. I think they got Forsberg to be more of a play maker than to score. They also picked him up to fill seats in Nashville.

I think Forsberg is more of a play-maker than a goal scorer
He should be able to setup the goal scorers, much like he did with Gagne in Philly
But I'm sure he'll draw some interest at the gate as well and I'm sure Nashville is hoping he will do both

saying Forsberg is too old is really funny. Jagr, Shanahan and Sakic all scored 600 goals this season... are you saying they're too old to keep up?
Forsberg went to Nashville because he has a possibility to win a ring with them, the Flyers will most likely buy him back in the off season, considering he's just rented for the remainder of the season.
Forsberg will score goals and he will get more people in the seats.

They signed him to win a Cup.
Yes, he racks up points, but this team already has guys who can score. They dealt for Forsberg because there is a strong physical element to his game. He plays with a mean streak and that's something that can be contagious. Without that intensity I don't see Nashville going far in the playoffs no matter how many games they win in the regular season.
I'm sure they're hoping to sell tickets because of name recognition, but winning is job number one.

(C) all of the above
I think Forsberg will be a break-out in Nashville - much like Thornton was to the Sharks. He's definitely not too old! Looks like Nashville just added more fire power to their already smokin' team.

I wonder if the novelty of hockey is wearing off in Nashville. They are having the best year they have ever had but they aren't selling out the stadium. Unfortunately for my Redwings I think he will do a good job at doing both for the Preds, scoring and selling.

I think selling tickets and making people around him better. He's always been more of a talented passer anyway. He's only had two thirty goal seasons. He is an NHL vet and should add some leadership to the Predators.

The Predators are in First in their division, thats enough to fill seats.
Forsberg will be there more to help score goals than anything else, emphasis on HELP. If he fills more seats that is just a bonus
