They're drawn through the electron transport chain by oxygen (electronegativity), and once they reach the end they bond with oxygen to form H20

When plants perform photosynthesis, they bring in CO2 (carbon dioxide) and break it up. The oxygen are brought through the Electron transport system and bind to free floating protons (H+). The water is then relased from the plant.
