Don't worry not trying to induce my own labor or anything. Just wondering. Just have a feeling that this baby is comming very shortly. I'm having really bad stomach cramps and the pressure is almost unbearable. Lot's of mucus, lost my plug like two weeks ago and just had continuous mucus since then. Lost my insurance last week and now just have to wait things out until it's time to go to the hospital. The baby is breach and has been for a long time. Probably c-section. Just was wondering if I do go into labor do you think they will stop it or just let it ride? I've heard that by 35 weeks the lungs are almost fully developed. At my last dr.'s appt at 33 weeks she told me he was around 5.5 pounds and 19 inches long. That would mean he's probably 6 pounds by now since that was two weeks ago. That's a good size right? The baby should be fine. I've heard of women having babied at 32 weeks and the baby only had to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks!

If you go into labor at 35 weeks, they will probably not try to stop you, especially if breech position makes a vaginal delivery impossible or high risk. They may do an l/s ratio on the baby's lungs to see if they are mature, but probably not. 35 weekers are right on the brink, some go home with the mom from the hospital!

But some babies born at 35 weeks may be too small (our hospital sends babies under 2000 grams to the NICU but sounds like yours is big enough) or may need extra help with feeding and keeping warm, but they are usually able to breathe on their own and will usually not need to spend much (or any) time in the NICU, especially if they are feeding well and maintaining their temperature.

Typically, I see one of three things with 35 weekers: mild respiratory problems, high levels of jaundice or feeding difficulties because they are just too sleepy and uncoordinated to breastfeed. So actually it's better if you have a c-section because that means a longer hospital stay, thus more time for baby's feeding and vitals to be observed by the doctors and nursing staff. Yes, it's best if you can keep the baby in till 37 weeks , but 35 weeks is very safe, nearly as good survival rates as full term.

See if you can extend your insurance with COBRA or get emergency MediCal/medicare, birth and the hospital stay will be expensive.

I am 33 weeks and have been dealing with gallstone attacks and am now going back for another ultrasound of my pancreas. But Dr told me a couple days ago that if I went into labor at 35 weeks or more he would do nothing to stop me. So I think you will be fine. I had my first at 36 1/2 weeks and he weighed 5lbs 12 ozs and was healthy. Came home with me after two days. If yours weighs that much at 33 weeks then he should be fine if you go early. Good luck and don't worry

My sister in-law went into labor at 35 weeks and they stopped it. Size doesn't matter on how the lungs are devoloped. the lungs are not ready til 37 weeks. I just had a baby that was considered small. They had to wait till 37 weeks when the lungs were ready. Good luck and wish you the best. Try to hang in there till 37 for the baby!

They usually will stop labor and wait until 37 weeks. They do all they can to reach that point.

Weight isnt the issue, its the development of the lungs, and kidneys and other vital systems, those things take time and dont depend on weight.

They used to believe a baby that was atleast 5 pounds was developed enough to survive, but new research on the long term health of those babies has proven otherwise.

Please please please call medicaid right now and get on it. Then, get yourself to the doctor. If they feel labor is quickly approaching they can give you steroids to mature the lungs. It can make a world of difference. My girls were born at 35 wks 3 days. I had the steroids and they did fine, although the went home on apnea monitors. My friend's twins, born at the same gestation but no steroids had to stay in the NICU for over 3 weeks. One was on a vent. Its basically a crapshoot on how your baby's lungs will be. Please get to a doc now. Not trying to scare you, but there are some harsh realities you need to look at.

Oh, and that weight estimation could be off. They estimated one twin at 5lb 13 oz and the other at 6lbs. They were born weighing 4lbs 1 oz and 4 lbs 6 oz. Best of luck.

The Dr. will probably give you some medicine that will help prolong your pregnancy for at least 2 more weeks. When you are 37 weeks your baby is considered to be full term. Good luck.

its not so much the sizeof the baby but if its lungs are developed enough. if your baby was born now he would probably live. like its probably a 95% chance. hopefully the baby will stay in another 2 weeks. at this point he'd be in the hospital for awhile. at 37 weeks he'd be just fine.

I even have been taking the pill for 8 years and the only area consequences I even have experienced have been useful. working example, lighter, much less painful classes and clearer dermis. Secondly, thousands and thousands of ladies human beings in the process the international take delivery administration pills and bypass directly to have households afterwards. don't be concerned approximately this. Thirdly, specific, a woman can grow to be pregnant despite if she takes the pills, besides the undeniable fact that it relatively is uncommon. pills are ninety 9% powerful, and are extra powerful than condoms. while you're relatively worried, you ought to use a condom too to be extra risk-free. with regards to your question approximately what share in line with month is risk-free to take, a woman takes one pill on a daily basis. it relatively is the type you're meant to take it. i'm assuming via all this you're conversing bearing directly to the contraceptive pill, no longer the morning after pill (some call it the abortion pill). Now it incredibly is an entire diverse kettle of fish and could purely be utilized in emergencies. while you're conversing bearing directly to the morning after pill, I advise you rephrase your question simply by fact the solutions would be very diverse.
