I know there not made for gaming, but im trying to play age of empires 3, and all the requirments are met or exceeded but it still bogs down and freezes completely for a few minutes during navel battles. IS there any way to stop this?
Ive already turned down the game graphics and all that stuff.

Could be a bad install,might go to control panel= system=advance tab set performance to best performance see if that helps And see if their are any patches for the game at the manufactures web site

What happens is that even though they say the recommended ram it needs sometime we have to use more ram than what we need for the game because

windows usually consumes more of Ram it needs 256 MB espically for it to run smooth so if we are doing gaming stuff then we need atleast 758 MB ram to support both.

Sounds like a problem with your video card, try to see if there is an update for your video driver.

try going to the site for the laptop and downloading the latest graphic drivers for it. the site for the card may not work so try the laptop site first.

i'm having this problem too, but the best thing i can say is: not to battle on water.if you're on champion and you must battle(like Lizzie's Pirates), try cheat to skip that part, or avoid battle ships by directly land your soldiers on south land

try updating you graphic card driver as well as install any updates for the game.
