I have a freind who is a woman. I want to buy her some clothes as a present. I asked her what sizes she wears. She tld me she is 5ft 6 in and wear medium clothes. So I went to store, and found out there is no such thing as medium jeans and medium tops. So the question what sizes do i buy for her? 8-9-10-12-14?

well, im 5' 4" and i buy "medium" clothes when they come in medium. my jeans size varies anywhere from a 3/4 to a 7 depending on the brand. i would say your best bet in this situation is to get her a gift card for her favorite clothing store so she can pick out what she wants and what will fit her. depending on what type of a person she is (aka- touchy) she may get upset if you buy her a pair of jeans 3 sizes too big for her. women are weird. yup, ill admit it. im weird too. anyway GOOD LUCK!

you're safer buying her a top than jeans if you cannot decide what size she is. Find pants for my female cousins is tough considering all the different body proportions they have.
Buying a top even if it is one or 2 sizes off is more forgiving. Good luck bro!

Dangerous subject! If you buy too small, she will feel fat. If you buy too BIG, she will think you SEE her as fat!
There ARE medium sized shirts...stick to shirts, or give her a gift certificate to the store.
I have to try things on before buying, and I think most women feel the same!

Stick to buying tops they come in Medium sizes.That way you will be playing it safe.

if yu can't tell ask her if you can see one of her tops and pnats that she loves. and see what size it is.
