This has repeatedly happened to me. I have been having sciatic nerve pain and back pain quite frequently. The pain almost causes me to limp and I have to move quite frequently when I sit down. Also when I first stand up after sitting for a while it will often feel like my leg can not support me and that I am going to fall over. It also takes me a little bit to get going when I start walking so I completely understand the whole feeling old part. My doctor has reassured me that it is normal. With some women the baby will put pressure on this nerve, but there is some stretches your doctor can recommend for help. Back pain is completely normal because the weight of your belly is pulling on you from the front, causing your posture and everything to change. I hope I was of some help and I hope you feel better soon.

The ligaments that support your uterus are getting a royal work out by this point in you pregnancy. You can be experiencing pain because of this. I am assuming that the joints you are referring to are most likely your lower back, hips, maybe knees. With the changes that occur in the 3rd trimester, you can also add irritation of the sciatic nerve (exits the lower spine) and possible carpal tunnel irritation.

I'm also assuming that the seated or laying position you are in, is irritating your sciatica. You can feel it when seated and are lying down, and can really feel it when you get up and initially move around. It will feel like your lower back and hips ache and may even transfer down the legs. Then it begins to ease up after you are up for a bit. In really bad cases even getting up wont relieve the discomfort and it may even feel worse.

Your experience sounds very familiar to what my wife went through in her 3rd trimester. Unfortunately, anti-inflammatory meds are out. See your doctor for an exercise regiment to stretch/ strengthen the appropriate muscle groups and body regions. A good chiropractor can help also.

Congrats! You are in the wonderful painful stage of pregnancy.
Go to babycenter.com to see what is normal and what is not.
You may start to feel a strong dull pain between your legs almost at your joints. It is your hips getting bigger and babies head will start to push things around too. I had a week (2 weeks ago) where I had to limp because my hips were spreading but only 1 at a time. This is my second little one. Tylenol is really the only thing you can do for the pain and as far as the sitting, find a nice comfy pillow to sit on, take occasional walks around the block or house depending on the weather and dont stand for long periods of time. You will toss and turn in bed from now until you give birth.
Hope this helps!

I had a lot of pain in the legs and back. I went to a Chiropractor to get some relief. It helped alot. It had gotten to the point where I was not sleeping well. I asked my OB and he suggested I go see a chiropractor. A lot of the pain is from carrying the extra weight of the baby around. Ya know how you get sore from exercising and you haven't exercised in a long time. That's sort of what your body is going through. It is adjusting to the added weight. I would talk to your OB before doing anything extreme though. I hope this helped a little. :)

I too feel this way. I think it is from your joints and muscles loosening and changing position a bit as your body prepares for birth. I also could only lay in one position for 10 minutes before I had to move, especially my hips. They would be in agonizing pain once I tried to move out of that position. Supposedly, pregnancy magnifies the symptoms of sciatica, so I dont know if that is what you are experiencing too.

There is alot of weight that is sitting not only on your blatter but on nurves. The baby is just sitting on some nurves that make you have pains and walk funny. This might last the rest of you pregnancy. If the baby stays right where he or she is. Good luck and wish you the best!

Yes! You have quite a bit of extra weight that you did not have before straining on your back and joints.
Talk to your doctor if it really bothers you terribly. He might just ask you some questions regarding your pain to make sure it is all okay :)

Sounds like it could be the start of a pinched nerve (sciatica) in your lower lumbar spine. This can be very very painful and it very common in the later stages of pregnancy due to the excess baby weight. I'd talk to your doctor about it ASAP.

I know it's normal to experience braxton hicks contractions when you're having sex. I am not sure about the sharp pains though Maybe call your doctor.
